SR Software Test EngineerTracking Code243-478Job Description Position Description: You will be a member of the QA team assigned to lead functional and system testing of client server and web based applications and work under the direction of the QA Director. You will develop and execute test plans and scripts (both manual and automated using Rational Quality Manager, Functional Tester, and Manual Tester) against functional and technical requirements. You will be responsible for testing applications against emerging technology/infrastructure changes planned by the customer.
Environment: The contract is with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, an independent agency of Treasury, responsible for regulating and supervising all national banks including federal branches and agencies of foreign banks. The OCC's goal in supervising banks is to ensure that they operate in a safe and sound manner and in compliance with laws requiring fair treatment of their customers and fair access to credit and financial products. The Pragmatics team maintains and enhances applications for the ITS Department.
Required Skills * Candidates must have experience developing software tests plans and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements - ability to create test data to support test scripts when necessary. * Candidates must have experience with automated testing tools including Rational Quality Manager, Rational Functional Tester required * Candidates must have experience with Rational RequisitePro and ClearQuest. * Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge of testing using automated test tools and conducting manual testing. * Candidates must have experience preparing formal test reports a must.
Desired Skills: * Experience with Rational Performance Tester a plus. Education B.A. /B.S. Degree plus 7-10 years of related experience. Value added to M.S degree holder
