Job description Job Description: Join Apple's Customer Systems team within the Information Systems and Technology organization as Senior Software Engineer responsible for Translation Software solutions. You will be the technical specialist for the SDL WorldServer translation management system.
Key Responsibilities include: . Implement and integrate global translation solutions demonstrating industry best practices . Perform systems analysis and end-to-end technology solution designs for localization, global knowledge solutions programs . Provide leadership and expertise to define solution architecture, technical tasks, dependencies, risks, and options . Administer, optimize, and support operations for the integrated translation solution . Enforce end to end Quality Assurance process delivering robust solutions . Partner with cross functional teams to define an optimized localization workflow
Requirements: . Strong experience with Translation Management System - Idiom/ SDL WorldServer - Implementation experience with WorldServer maintenance and administration activities - Ability to develop and support WorldServer java extensions to meet business requirements - WorldServer workflow automation, optimization, security and reporting expertise - Experience working with Translation Memory / Computer Assisted Translation tools - Content management solution experience, specifically targeted at integration with WorldServer
. Strong J2EE design and programming skills . Knowledge of web applications development methodologies with experience in delivering projects using Java, Javascript, AJAX, CSS, HTML, XHTML, XML, Web Services, SQL . Extensive experience with applications design, integration, and deployment in an integrated global environment . Must be able to brainstorm and communicate technology ideas and issues with peers and IT management . Bachelor of Science in CS or equivalent + 12 years of experience. Masters degree preferred.
