An established and nationwide Company is looking for a Sr. System Administrator. Primary responsibilities include: * Implement new technology into the environment* Troubleshoot tier 4 Helpdesk escalation issues* Research new technologies and run Proof of Concepts* Partner with Systems Application and Network team as needed to support business needs* Install and support of systems, applications, and networks and suggests what to upgrade The successful candidate will have a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards in regards to systems administration of Microsoft and/or Linux Servers including, but not limited to: distribution of permissions, server maintenance, software application installs, virus protections and patch management; maintenance of server back-ups, hardware, firmware updates; Tier 4 Help Desk support; develop solutions to a variety of complex problems. The Senior Systems Administrator is expected to research and suggest technologies for growth and solutions in the business environment. Learning on the fly and knowing where to get information is a must as well. The Senior Systems Administrator acts as a mentor to the junior-level Server successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * Bachelor's Degree* 4-6 years of related work experience* Generalist System Administration with a focus on Windows, appliances, Exchange, SharePoint, back-ups, etc.* IIS and Apache Web Server, NetApp Filer and primary storage, Microsoft Exchange 2008/10, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft SQL Server, UNIX or Linux, HP, IBM and DELL Server hardware, Back-up Exec, Technical Documentation, Citrix, RSA; and thorough understanding of security issues, Active Directory, Websense, Clustering, Disaster Recovery, Domain Security, Remote Access, VPN; Protocols: HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP and SMTP* Familiarity with protocol analyzers is required as well as thorough understanding of packet tools, TCP/IP, and Ethernet* Certifications: MCSE and VMware (preferred) For consideration, please send your resume to Paul Montoya at today!
