Sr. System Analyst
Basic Purpose:Consona has an opening for a Sr. System Analyst located in Indianapolis, IN. Maintain and enhance existing corporate intranet, marketing and customer service web sites. Develop site services, SharePoint, applications, technical site infrastructure (user registration, login, security, data management, etc.), education tools, partner service links and integration. In addition, this position will provide technical business application and end-user support for resolution of technical issues related to corporate business systems. Also responsible for development/implementation of new business applications and enhancements for existing applications to meet the needs of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist in defining standards for the Business Application team. Includes but is not limited to:
Technical development/design
Source Code control
Operational support
Case management
Change Request management
2. Ongoing development and maintenance of corporate marketing, customer service and corporate intranet web sites.
Functional design, detailed design, construction and stabilization of new and enhanced applications.
Focus on SEO for marketing websites.
Maintain and improve implementation of SharePoint
3. Serve as a member of the Business Application team regarding business requirements analysis, technical design, development, subject matter expertise and operational support.
Participate in design reviews for application enhancements. Provide suggestions for design improvements and ensure adherence to design standards.
Provide subject matter expertise to members of the team in order to assist with operational support and development requests.
Serve as the escalation point for operational requests
4. Serve as a systems analyst within the Business Applications team.
Responsible for operational support of business applications by responding to submitted cases.
Follow project plan and perform tasks within the timeline identified.
Work with the business area stakeholders to develop the functional business requirements for business application projects
Develop the Technical Design Document based on the functional business requirements
Complete the development tasks identified in the Technical Design Document
Additional duties and responsibilities: Perform additional duties as requested by management staff.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills
Education/Training:
Bachelors degree in Computer Technology/Computer Science or extensive related experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Studio .NET, C#, ASP and XML development.
Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle. *Experience interfacing with Business Units and gather requirements.
Prior experience in IT & Project Management preferred.
2 or more years of experience with development using C#, , and SQL Reporting Services.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
Experience with Visual Studio .Net using C#, , , SharePoint 2007, Sharepoint 2010, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, XML. Advanced experience in server side VBScript and ASP and SQL Server. Experience in designing and building web based applications for Microsoft IIS Web Servers.
