Job Description
* Provide technical expertise in computer network and remote desktop server technologies. * Lead/Assist w/ deployment and implementation efforts at MTF sites; coordinate activities, and consult w/ internal and external Teams * Provide remote desktop server administration, tech support, documentation, etc * Conduct technical and operational requirements analysis for new system requests and change packages * Assist by performing specific tasks of implementation requirements * Integrate, verify and run system tests for various Sever and Networking type Systems * Perform on-site surveys, data analysis, documentation, support. * Provide training to support remote desktop server and application visualization * Solve technical problems associated with on-site implementation efforts * Assist help desk troubleshooting and just-in-time support as needed when not deploying the solution suite; serves as on-call as needed when on deployment * Perform sustainment activities required to ensure optimal performance of remote desktop server solution operation * Provides on-site and reach back client support
Degree/Education Requirements
* HS Diploma * Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years technical experience in an applicable network and or system admin discipline * An associate’s degree and relevant professional certification(s) and or specific working experience may be substituted for the education requirement
Required Skills
* Support system deployments under a defined configuration management plan * Excellent team player able to work in a team environment, under high pressure conditions * Comfortable with travel up to 30-50% of the time * Able to follow technical directions on network/server assets * Familiar with Terminal and Virtual Services * Familiar with AFMS medical applications * Security+ certification or higher (DoD 8570.1)
