Our fortune 500 client is need of a Sr. Technical Writer to provide approved documentation for the legal definition of new Web self-service products.
The legal definition will be comprised of various document types (i.e. MS Word, Visio, and Excel). The actual content of the legal definition will be provided by our client.
The Technical Writer must work under minimal supervision, able to hit the ground running and provide recommendations on how best to exploit the MS office suite capabilities to ensure an appropriate/consistent formatting/packaging for internal use and customers.
Responsibilities:
Develop templates to maintain standards/consistencies/look and feel themes
Documentation required to support the launch of the product by end of Q1 2012.
Documentation required to support the launch of other products as specified by their agreed launch timelines.
Required Skills
Must be skilled in MS Office product suite (including Visio) at an advanced level, and use collaboration methods across those products to package information in a user-friendly manner for ease of navigation and understanding
Must also have the ability to be presented with a documentation-related business need and provide a proposal for solving this problem – for example, maintaining revision tables for each distinct document for internal reference)
