If you are a self-motivated team player who enjoys collaborating with others, GSI Commerce will be a rewarding place for you. As a member of the documentation team member you will write, edit and maintain a library of technical publications that describe the installation, configuration, integration, and use of GSI software products. The ideal candidate will have at least five years technical writing experience preferably in software, J2EE and N-tier enterprise applications. He or she must have a demonstrated ability to proactively interview project SMEs, define business requirements and be comfortable writing for wide-ranging audiences.
Primary Responsibilities:
'Understand the technical and business needs of your audience 'Write, edit and maintain conceptual and task-oriented documentation and online help 'Document APIs, services and processes for both internal and external audiences 'Personally test what you document to ensure doc accuracy and completeness 'Translate technical requirements and software specifications into solutions documentation 'Interview and embed with engineers, QA, product management and technical SMEs 'Contribute to the improvement of documentation standards, tools, and processes 'Establish quantifiable metrics that measure the success of your documentation Education Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
