Duties and responsibilities cover the full software lifecycle, and include the formulation, design, development and integration of new software applications providing cutting edge net-centric solutions for various government customers.
Responsibilities: Required Experience & Skills - 5+ years of professional experience in the industry - Experience with multiple development tools/technologies such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, Adobe Flex/AIR, Silverlight, JavaFX, Subversion, - Experience with multiple platforms: .NET & Java, Windows & Linux, desktop applications & web applications (mobile apps, portals, AJAX, rich clients) - Experience with modular software design in general and object-oriented design (OOD) and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles in particular - Leadership experience, including task assignment and coordination - Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities - Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle - Ability to multi-task and take on diverse responsibilities with minimal oversight - Strong communication skills; ability to present technical materials and support proposal writing - Enthusiasm for writing great software - Willingness to travel - Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance Preferred Experience & Skills - Experience with SOA architectures, web services, GIS/visualization technologies - Experience with design methods & tools such as: UML, DoDAF, Visio, Enterprise Architect - Experience with XML (XSD, WSDL, XSL, XSLT) - J2EE Application Servers: one or more of the following: JBOSS, WebLogic, WebSphere Database: Oracle, SQL Server - Experience with web service security models (PKI, SAML, WS-Security, PEP, PDP) - Experience with ArcGIS technologies (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Web APIs) - Previous government (especially DoD) software development experience - Experience with Dod certification & accredication (AFCA, DIACAP, DISA Gold Disk) - Domain experience in key areas of interest such as: Space Operations, Air Operations, Cyber Security, Weather Systems, Force Protection. - Active DoD Security Clearance (SECRET or SCI)
