EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES * 5 years experience working in small-to-medium professional engineering teams which provide a framework to application development * BS degree PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES SAP Labs in Cambridge Massachusetts has an opening for an experienced Web developer with superior Java, XSL and Java Script skills. Experience working with Java enterprise applications required. Experience working with agile development process a plus.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS * Work with product management and the engineering team to develop and support new functionality in our J2EE application รข?" E-Sourcing. * Design, implement, test, and support software to meet the functional requirements of our customers as well and to support our strategic vision * Investigate the application of new technologies to determine if and how they can enhance our product offering * Work with application teams to identify and implement new UI framework capabilities to meet their changing needs. * Work with usability experts to help define and apply usability recommendations and paradigms within the framework and applications. * Work with product management to help ensure proactively engaging with customers to get input on requirements, future direction and feedback on prototypes and work in progress.
WORK EXPERIENCE * Experience designing and developing web based enterprise applications * Strong knowledge of building dynamic web based user interface using XSL, JavaScript, DHTML, XHTML, AJAX and CSS. Experience issues related to supporting various browsers including IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. * Experience with Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), including Struts, Java Servlets, Java Server Pages, and Enterprise JavaBeans a plus * Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. * Experience in working with a geographically distributed team across different time zones is a plus.
