Title: Sr. Web Developer Location: INDIA-CHENNAI Summary Web Development team of is currently seeking a Web Developer - JavaScript, AJAX, Jsp, XSL UI expert to program the user interface and ultimately contribute to a high quality customer experience on the website. So if you are a talented Web Developer with AJAX, CSS and UI experience this could be the right thing for you. Key Accountabilities: *Expertise in JavaScript, AJAX, XHTML and CSS *Develop and design the presentation layer of the website within an XML/XSLT/JSP templating system, ensuring pages are programmed error-free, cross-browser, cross-platform, and optimized for download performance *A strong passion for producing quality software and web user interface *Prioritize workload to meet deadlines for assignments in the code release schedule *Stay current with the newest online technologies; research new technologies and make recommendations on implementations *Perform quality assurance on all new code from inception through integration, staging and production environments *Collaborate effectively with content engineering team as well as creative, marketing, merchandising and server engineering teams; provide technical advice and guidance about template design, browser limitations and technology Required Skills: *At least 3-6 years professional Internet work experience *Ability to demonstrate previous work experience via URLs *Strong attention to detail *Proven problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills *Ability to operate effectively both independently as well and within a team *Knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web *Mastery of Browser based technologies (HTML, Javascript, AJAX, CSS, etc.) *In depth knowledge of design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc.) *Experience with XML technologies (XSLT, XPATH, XML, etc.) *Experience with a Version Control system (CVS, Perforce, Clearcase, Safe Source, etc.) *Experience with JAVA technologies (JSP, J2EE, Taglibs, Spring, Struts, Velocity, etc.) *Prior work experience on a large e-commerce site *Working knowledge of PC, UNIX, and Mac environments
