EOE Storage engineers are technology-focused individuals who have skills and experience working with corporate information system technologies. They should have excellent presentation and people skills and be comfortable describing and demonstrating computer and networking technologies to all audiences. We are actively seeking both entry-level and experienced Storage Solutions Engineers. However the ideal candidate must have at least two years of pertinent job related experience and must be an independent, motivated self-starter able to present technical information in and strong compelling manner. The candidate should also be able to accurately and confidently develop written technical material. Experience and skills required for experienced storage engineers:
* Minimum of two years working with storage technologies * Ability to verbally describe our storage technologies with customers * Ability to create technical documentation such as instruction guides, solution designs and presentations * Great organizational skills * Expertise using various Unix, Linux(Redhat/SuSE) and Windows 2000/2003 operating systems * Expertise in the latest storage technologies such as RAID, SCSI, Fiber Channel, Tape Libraries and backup software * Expertise in network technologies, including the ability to install and configure common network components such as switches, routers, firewalls and network monitoring tools * The ability to understand and analyze common Internet protocols is a plus * Knowledge of common data center applications, such as messaging and database products, will be a plus * UNIX system administration is a plus
