Program dates are June 4th - August 10th. Course Credit is available. Resume is required. Students should have a strong academic record (3.0 strongly preferred). Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students may not have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship (i.e. STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL DURING THE TIME OF THIS INTERNSHIP). Students seeking college credit are strongly encouraged to apply. Note to International Students: All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to your arrival if accepted to the program.

Future semester Internship postings will be available after the current semester deadline. ================================== Department: The International Sales Operations Department at TBS is seeking interns. This department administers orders for commercial airtime on CNN International, CNN en Español, and Turner networks airing in Latin America including TNT, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, TCM, Space, I-SAT, TruTV, Fashion TV, Hispanic TV, Infinito, and Much Music. Orders are received daily from sales offices in major cities like London, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Sao Paulo. After receiving orders, International Sales Ops places the airtime in accordance with the contract, coordinates receipt of the creative material and ensures the contract is satisfied during broadcast. We also liase with many different departments including CNN Int'l newsroom, marketing, promotions, master control, engineering, and network operations to ensure all ad campaigns run in accordance with our advertisers' demands. ================================== Internship Description: Intern will learn the operational procedures of the LATAM Sales Ops Department. They will learn how to provide good customer service to our clients and partners.
Specific duties could include the following: .Learn and assist with the roles of Booking & Copy Specialist, Commercial Log Specialist, and Quality Assurance Specialist .Be willing to relinquish or take on new duties based on the needs of the department .Attend department meetings and conference calls .Assist colleagues with other duties as needed ================================== Required Qualifications/Skills: .Currently enrolled in a college or university .International perspective .Knowledge of computer systems and electronic filing .Interest in broadcasting .Customer service experience .Ability to learn quickly .Positive, team-oriented attitude .Excellent communication skills .Attention to detail .Flexibility .Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks .Ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment .Strong organizational skills .Proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese (a plus, but not required) .IBM iSeries or other traffic system experience (a plus, but not required)
