Job Description:
The Summer Intern will be a member of the Rating and Validation (RAVE) component team. The intern will participate in coding and testing phases for continuing engineering work to support the client.
RAVE is both a web based and PC based component that allows UPS clients systems (Web Shipping and Worldship) to rate and validate the package shipments in real-time to provide customers with an accurate price and destination.

Understanding of Object Oriented Programming
Programming/Development experience in a Linux or Windows OS based environment
Strong technical & analytical skills
Good verbal & written communication skills
Candidate must be at least a Sophomore studying in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline. Viable candidates must be currently enrolled in a 4-year degreed college/university program while working at UPS during the summer. The viable candidate must be able to work 32-40 hours per week May – Aug 2012.
Education: The desired Intern will be working toward a 4-year degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or related discipline.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
No relatives who are employed by UPS or any of its subsidiaries.
