Support Technician for Stevens Point

This full time position is due to a promotion within the IT department and will be located primarily at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point, with some travel to the local clinics or hospitals possible. The position will work 40 hours per week, and have some on-call responsibility as well every 3-5 weeks.

The Support Techs also ensure that all approved desktop applications are functional and ensures proper preventative maintenance is completed in a timely manner, to get to a problem before it becomes a problem. This proactive approach is not only customer service driven, but makes business sense. In this role, we are looking for a Support Tech who brings at least 3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing desktop, tablet and laptop equipment and is not afraid to think outside the box in order to find solutions to end user issues. Knowing that there will be interactions with our end users, we additionally seek someone customer service driven - "service with a smile" and ensuring that follow up takes place until issues are resolved. Requirements:
An Associate's degree or equivalent work experience is required
At least 3 years troubleshooting and repairing computer desktop, laptop, tablet, and peripheral equipment experience is required
In person end user support experience is required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, PC hardware, basic TCP/IP networking, Citrix technology, antivirus applications and standard practices of network security
Must have previous customer service experience, a working knowledge of personal computer components, exposure to network protocols and standards and a working knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office preferred
