SW Build Lead Engineer
Title: SW Build Lead Engineer Location: India-India, Bangalore
The Ultra Mobility Group is seeking a Senior Build and Integration Engineer to drive the build and integration of key software ingredients into Microsoft platform software deliverables. The primary focus will be on Windows platforms. In this position you will be responsible for putting a Windows based build system and process in place for Windows based UMG platforms. You will also be responsible for tracking and coordinating software submissions and making sure that all development requirements are met for integration into the platform Operating System. You will need to assess the impacts of the software being integrated and be able to provide a status or snapshot of the overall stability of weekly software releases that you will be responsible for delivering. Provide leadership and direction to other team members in satisfying requirements for weekly build and integration releases. You will need to interact with the various software development teams within UMG and in other software organizations. You will also represent the Build and Release discipline for your project to the project PDTs. * Hands-on experience doing builds and with Windows operating systems. * Ability to work in a new group and able to spec out and setup build systems from the scratch. * Define an SCM process around the build infrastructure and educate the development teams. * Enforce the new development tools and process with the SW developers * Solid understanding of low levels Windows OS * Experience with working with building low level components (drivers) * Familiar with WDDM 1.1 and with tools like Driver Verifier, PREfast for Drivers * Basic understanding of software SCM practices and tools like Perforce, Subversion, CVS, etc. * Have good verbal and written communication skills * Leadership experience in coordinating the daily activities of other team members * Able to deal with ambiguity and be able to work in a matrix with team members in various geographies, such as the US and China * Ideal candidate will have a BS or MS in Computer Science or related discipline with 7 to 10 years of software experience.
