System Analyst - Aprimo (DCM)
Title: System Analyst - Aprimo (DCM) Location: Indiana-Indianapolis We are looking for a Systems Analyst to work as a part of a dynamic team in a rapidly growing entrepreneurial company. While the role is truly one of individual contributor, a high degree of interaction and teamwork are required to be effective in the role. The qualified candidate will possess excellent writing skills and have good teamwork, leadership and communication skills, and a strong desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment.
Specific duties include: 1. Ensuring that all network and workstation requirements are met at the client site 2. Setup the desktop requirements at customer site 3. Installing the DCM online application at the customer site 4. Running the client data through our application front end 5. Execution of test plans (unit/systems/integration) 6. Resolution of technical front end installation issues on-site 7. Supporting the Business Analyst in investigation into data issues 8. Tuning of the desktop queries to ensure the best possible performance 9. Supporting training the client technical staff on how to install the DCM front ends 10. Supporting integration of the application into the customers production environment including creation of install packages, deployment of GUI to multiple desktops 11. Logging incidents to be investigated at head office 12. Implementing code changes and enhancements within the DCM source control mechanisms 13. Providing input to weekly or bi-monthly client technical status
Skills & Attributes: 1. Application Experience with a focus on Merchandising/Category Management; Assortment Mgt; Promotion Mgt.; Supply/Demand Chain, Forecasting & Replenishment, experience in the Retail Industry (GMS and/or Food preferred). 2. MS-Windows based Client Server Architecture applications, Visual Basic, SQL 3. Windows application trace skill 4. Familiarity with the business processes & metrics that drive success in the retail and CPG industries 5. Strong knowledge of leading edge application architecture issues, concerns, and methodologies affecting and driving the retail industry 6. Interpersonal and Relationship building skills to build relationships with project members from clients 7. Comfortable with discussing technology issues with project members from clients. 8. Results oriented, whether quantitative or qualitative 9. Bachelor's degree in technical field required. Advanced degrees optional.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineer, Mathematics, or related; Master's degree preferred * 4 years' successful application consulting experience - either with a retailer, CPG Company, software company, or consulting company * 4 years in development, execution, and maintenance of software in all of the following: * Strong understanding of n-tier architecture theory and practice * Microsoft web technologies - advanced HTML, ASP, Javascript, Visual Basic, COM/DCOM * UNIX-based Client Server Architecture applications, UNIX, UNIX Shell Script, C, C Preprocessor, SQL * Knowledge of Data Warehouse tools (OLAP, Data Modeling & Data Transformation tools) * Knowledge of database connectivity tools, such as CLI and ODBC configuration * Additional Desired Qualifications: * Teradata SQL knowledge * Teradata Manager tools (WinDDI, PMON, DBS Control, Operator Console, etc.) * Teradata, MCSE or MCSD certification * ATL, VC ISAPI are assets * Forecasting and Inventory Replenishment software application knowledge
