System Architect Senior Principal Leader, Must posses current/active TS/SCI-FS Poly, work location in Metro area - Mcclean, Reston, Herndon, Springfield
Essential Job Functions * Acts as the subject matter expert for an enterprise and serves as the system architecture authority within that scope. Provides input to solution development. * Defines highly complex technology-based business solutions. Provides thought leadership regarding system design, architecture, and integration. Mentors and leads project teams in the appropriate use of technology. * Reviews and approves high risk design decisions prior to implementation. * Defines IT solution and strategy, technology innovation and enterprise architecture services. * Leads system design activities or reviews system designs to ensure that applications solutions will exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment. * Leads technology and product general assessments, detailed evaluations, and final selections. Educates and provides technical advice to management and client. * Leads system performance diagnosis and scalability assessment activities. Coordinates and manages activities of multiple hardware and software vendors on large project engagement. * Leads the preparation of IT solution and strategy work products, technology and product analysis, white papers, and responses to management queries on technology and product related topics. * Leads development of system solutions for proposals and creates strategies to win business in new markets or current accounts. * Represents company in technology discussions with clients; ensures client satisfaction. * Current/active TS/SCI FS Poly required Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience * Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technologies * Twelve or more years of system architecture experience * Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, hardware and software * Experience working with industry and company developed technology (Catalyst and/or equivalent client or vendor-mandated methodology) Other Qualifications * Strong communication skills * Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with the most executive levels of internal staff, management and clients * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Strong leadership skills * Strong project management skills * Ability to lead and/or influence multiple teams * Ability to set technical direction for an enterprise * Ability to quickly adapt to new projects and multiple accounts as needed * Ability to identify how information technology can enable the achievement of business objectives
