The System Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is a team player who is responsible for performing and/or assisting in system verification testing activities; assisting in maintaining and implementing the test methods and procedures necessary for
the verification of data systems and business applications; performing other duties as required to ensure that the products or features meets requirements and quality standards. This position is responsible for testing multiple projects at one
time, in various different stages of the projects.
- Proactively communicates with management
- Actively participates in the requirements analysis and design process
- Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts, and other related test documents based on requirements and design
specifications
- Conduct testing on application consisting of .Net and TSQL programs against SQL Server database platforms
- Execute test cases, test scripts, and report status to QA Manager
- Communicates specific hardware needs for a product test environment
- Setup and maintain product test environment for use during testing
- Develops test data for use during test execution and manages test results and outcomes.
- Work with Software Engineers to identify the root cause of software issues
- Identify, resolve, and proactively communicate potential problems
- Assist other departments in support of customers
- Work under moderate supervision and submit work periodically for review
- Complete assigned administrative responsibilities

Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Information System, Business Management or similar disciplined field. Seven (7+) plus years of software testing experience with web-based applications with proven proficiency in:
- Microsoft Windows XP OS environment
- MS-SQL Server
- Must be able to execute SQL code proficiently
- 7 to 10 years SQL experience; must be able to write extensive queries and interpret the results
- Desk-top applications such as MS-Word and MS-Excel
- Basic network concepts
- Thorough knowledge of data base architecture and data base structure
- Thorough knowledge and ability to write comprehensive test plans and test case documentation
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of Business Requirements Documents; Technical Design Documents
- Claims and/or Medical Data Testing experience a plus
- Thorough knowledge of various test methodologies
- Basic understanding of systems architecture and software best practices
