System Support Engineer 2\3
Reports to the Manager of the United States Air Force (USAF) KC-46 Tanker Support & Training Logistics Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT). Primary responsibilities will be for Support System Analysis (SSA), Design for Supportability engineering influence and support of all related activities for Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) contract Statement of Work (SOW). Duties also include support of trade studies for platform subsystems, research/documentation of technical information and the establishment of processes to develop and maintain support system products, engineering data and integrated support infrastructure. Coordinates engineering change proposals and baseline support concepts and challenges inconsistencies for clarification. Supports or establishes and executes test plans and validates support requirements for product design. Additional support activities for the IPT include: Support development of the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) to define the transition from pre-operational support to interim contractor support and the plan to transition from organic supply to two-level organic maintenance. Support Site Activation to define the facilities required to activate the Tanker at each Air Force Base, which includes development of the Facilities Requirement Plan (FRP) for both organizational and depot maintenance. Provide cross-IPT support for the entire Support & Training organization for presentations, public relations, management scorecard, Program Management Best Practices, Lean Initiative, Strategic Objectives, whitepapers, website, Integrated Product Team Instructions (IPTIs), Management Emphasis Tracking (MET) Action Item management. Support KC-46 Program and IPT Change Control Boards (CCB). Implement the use the Team Repository and Change System (TRACS) configuration management tool to track change impacts to Support & Training products.
Contributes to or performs logistics product support to ensure sustainment capability of products and services; researches and provides technical information used to develop and maintain logistics products and engineering data. Contributes to or establishes systems support requirements, approaches and solutions; develops and documents processes. Provides logistics support influence on product designs; determines and develops supportability-related design approaches and solutions. Provides assistance or supports the data collection and analysis needs to respond to customer inquiries. Contributes to or proposes, evaluates, validates, approves and implements engineering changes. Provides logistics support input for proposal development.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
