Systems and Data Analyst 2\3
Performs research and analysis on processes, applications, systems and data to identify functional requirements for application or system design. Consults with customers to clarify and refine requirements. Interprets and translates requirements into functional specifications. Develops and executes tests to validate system functionality against specifications.
The position is in the Information Technology (IT) group that supports the Global Services and Support
organization. Specifically, this position will develop, maintain and deploy a business application named iCapture.
iCapture is a Boeing developed application that remotely records information at point of use. The application currently is heavily used at the Boeing depot repair facilities across the United States. iCapture facilitates Mobile Maintainer Centric Technologies, Lean + Workflow cells improvement, and improved quality reporting.
The applicant will work with end users and project stakeholders to define requirements, delivery dates, and project
integration points with other applications and business processes. Project management duties (budget,
schedule, etc) are required.
Statement of Work:
- Designs and develops software to meet end user requirements, utilizing Agile methodologies and tools.
- Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design using appropriate tools
to satisfy design specifications.
- Performs unit testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing to validate that the software meets design
specifications.
- Generates or follows implementation plans to deploy systems/solutions per documented configuration control plans.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 2 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 3 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Job related information
This position requires an applicant who can work independently, is customer service oriented, and will design and develop software that meets the customer needs. Strong oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills are required. Some travel to customer sites will be required. Familiarity with Tablet PC and mobile technology (eg iOS/Android/Blackberry/Windows Phone 7) is a plus.
