Because to get where we?re going we need a top-notch Systems and Network Administrator/Engineer to join our IT team.
As a versatile and knowledgeable IT pro, you will design, configure, and support McMurry?s datacenter web server and network environment. Service-oriented, you will enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team of friendly co-workers. This is an on-call position and requires that you be available 24x7 while on rotation. A company cell phone is provided for this purpose.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Implement and support physical and virtualized Linux and Windows Servers and supporting hardware in a 24x7 datacenter operation. - Support delivery of Centos/Ubuntu Linux & Windows based applications on VMware virtualization and NetApp SAN platforms. - Quickly identifying and remedying hardware problems with Dell & HP Intel or AMD-based servers. - MySQL Support, maintenance, performance monitoring, and problem resolution. - Maintaining uptime and performance monitoring systems utilizing Nagios. - Implementing and supporting data backup solutions including disaster recovery plan support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor?s degree in information systems or computer science preferred, or equivalent experience. - Must have an in-depth knowledge of Centos & Ubuntu Linux. - Must be an expert at Apache2 configuration and administration. - Experience managing standard open source MTA such as QMail, Postfix, or Sendmail. - Must be familiar with Windows 2008 & IIS 7/7.5 administration - Experience administering Linux & Windows 2008 servers in a VMWare environment. - Experience supporting Microsoft Network Services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory. - Experience administering Drupal (all versions).
