Responsibilities
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Provides administrative support for the Intel based operating systems and applications installed in these environments. May act as the primary point of contact between the development organization, NOC staff and vendors technical staff. This includes, but is not limited to analyzing customers business needs and reviewing technical requirements, preparing technical responses, configuring integrated solutions to meet customer needs and implementing client solutions. Works on projects/systems/issues of low to medium complexity. Serves as a network operations technical consultant to the customers or development teams and must have a broad knowledge of multiple computer environments, platforms and technologies and in-depth knowledge of HAPs products. Works independently on multiple projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for trouble shooting server problems as reported by users or support teams. Completes problem management tickets, requests and changes within the appropriate SLA period.
2. Maintains Active Directory, Novell and GroupWise accounts, remote access environment, groups, and other administrative services.
3. Researches evaluates, and recommends software and hardware products. Coordinates with the users, application development teams and NOC teams to review system requirements for application upgrades, operating system updates, hardware upgrades and other infrastructure changes. Deploys the release of new technologies as well as designs, installs, configures, maintains and performs system integration testing of PC/Server operating systems, applications and related utilities.
4. Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment.
5. Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth.
6. Works on some projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader. Works on small to medium, complex issues/projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and knowledge of one or more specific technical products.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
A. Education:
1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
2. Related and relevant experience or a demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered in lieu of academic requirements.

B. Experience:
1. Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of IT work experience.
2. Requires a high level of expertise working in multiple system environments.

C. Behaviors:
1. Must be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical associates
2. Ability to understand and explain network status as well as problems and produce reports for management.
3. A desire to work with customers to solve problems, satisfy requests and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
4. Strong interpersonal and oral communications skills to communicate effectively with customers and the IT support groups.
5. Ability and desire to learn new skills and tools quickly.
6. Must be a self starter that can function independently or as a part of a team.
7. Must be willing to respond to urgent requests and adjust schedules accordingly.
8. Must keep abreast of new technologies and be able to integrate them into existing systems.
9. Must be willing to travel, using own transportation, to all remote corporate sites on an as needed basis, for the purposes of conducting job duties.
