Systems Integration Engineer Training Lead to join our team in Carson, CA.
The Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) Weapon System (WS) is the Joint Forces Air Component Commander's (JFACC) primary Command and Control (C2) node to develop the air and space operations strategies and plans to meet the Combat Commander's objectives. It is the senior element of the Theater Air Control System (TACS) which includes subordinate ground and air C2 units trained and equipped to plan, coordinate, control, execute and monitor air, space and cyberspace operations across the full range of military operations. The AOC controls a wide range of air power to achieve Air Force objectives of Global Vigilance, Global Reach and Global Power.
Modern warfighting demands a modern, standardized and integrated AOC. As a member of the Northrop Grumman AOC team, you will help to provide our warfighters with a state-of-the-art, net-centric computing solution that provides a flexible and robust environment for meeting the demands of time critical analysis and decision making processes now and into the future. This engineer's primary function is to interface closely with key AOC WS stakeholders to accurately determine training requirements for the 10.2 net-centric infrastructure and perform training team lead duties. Among the various duties and responsibilities, the engineer will coordinate with the design, testing, and fielding teams to identify training requirements and content, as well as accomplish training development and delivery for fielding and sustainment. Will also coordinate with the Program Manager to accomplish additional customer directed training development and delivery tasks.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities of the SIE TL will include, but not be limited to:• Perform training team lead supervisory duties
• Report training analysis results to the customer
• Conduct Training Technical Interchange Meetings
• Conduct AOC WS 10.1 to 10.2 training transition planning
• Lead training integrated process teams (IPTs) and represent training at other program IPTs
• Coordinate with the AOC WS Program Management Office regarding training requirements
• Be responsible for deliverable reports, time reporting, personnel appraisals, and team coordination
Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• B.S. in a related field required
• Must have Project Management experience
• Experience leading a diverse or geographically separated team is mandatory
• Excellent and well founded, written and oral communication skills are absolutely essential
• Requires prior experience with computer-based training, training analysis and course development
• Must have a demonstrated ability to effectively interface with customers and various program stakeholders
• Minimum of five plus (5 ) years experience working with the various subsystems that comprise the AOC WS required
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current and active U.S. Secret level security clearance to be selected. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
• Security Certification is a plus.
• Experience with CMMI is preferred.
• Experience with AOC military operations desired.
• Candidates local to Carson, CA are highly desirable.
• Experience with DoD systems development is highly preferred.
• Experience with Plateau Learning Management System is preferred.
• Experience with Air Force training standards, concepts and policies is highly preferred.
