Job Description:
Job Purpose: Responsible for assisting in tax compliance, planning, accounting and audit defense projects which will include involvement in acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform analysis of Subpart F, Investments in US property, foreign subsidiary earnings and profits and tax pools, and foreign exchange gains and losses. * Assist with the identification, documentation, and quantification of quarterly tax provisions and uncertain tax positions in accordance with US GAAP ASC 740 (formerly FIN 48 and FAS 109). * Address ad hoc international cross border issues as assigned to ensure corporate objectives are met. * Research complex tax issues and write clear concise memos documenting your conclusions. * Review international components of US tax filings. * Provide guidance and support to the business on corporate tax, transfer pricing and legal structure matters. * Maintain a current awareness of emerging legislation and case law that would impact the company's operations and establish proactive plans accordingly for both cash and financial tax reporting purposes. Knowledge and Skill: * Experience in US international and federal tax matters and also with US GAAP rules relating to accounting for income taxes. * Strong knowledge of international tax implications and regulations. * Strong mathematical, organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. * Proficient with business software such as MS Excel, Outlook, Word, OneSource, and Tax Stream. Work experience requirements: * Four (4) years of international tax experience with a big four accounting firm and/or combination with industry related experience. Education & Certification Requirements: * A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience is required.
