Information Technology in Philips comprises the application of technology to commercial, financial, logistical and industrial business processes and includes business information systems, electronic communication such as EDI and e-Commerce, office automation and personal computing, communication and processing infrastructure, manufacturing information systems and design/development information systems.
The Philips IT Applications group is performing companywide shared services in the area of Application Solutions for business applications for all Product Sectors (Consumer Lifestyle, Healthcare, Lighting, Corporate Technology) and for Corporate Functions like Finance, Supply Management, Human Resources Management and Marketing). Philips IT Applications provides a state-of-the-art global environment via a portfolio of application development and implementation, application operations and is recognized as knowledge leader in this domain.
The aim of a Competence Group (CG), which consists of a number of Competence Teams, is to deliver skilled and experienced professionals of a specific IT knowledge domain against competitive pricing at the three main processes of Philips IT Applications: project execution, change management and service management. The CG is responsible for driving actively business application technology and for developing and maintaining product policies and standards in order to safeguard the maximum benefit of a higher degree of commonality (application convergence).
Your Responsibilities: Your key areas of responsibility will be:
. Deploy visions and strategies for the CG, which are consistent with the overall Philips IT applications vision. . Define short and mid-term resource requirements (quantity and quality) for operations and projects based upon inputs from the Business Lines, the Global Competence Managers and the Global Resource Manager. . Performance and Development management . Ensure high level of engagement of employees. . Execute sourcing based upon the Team-Capacity Plan . Responsible for execution of Philips IT Applications Global Sourcing Strategy for time hire. . Deployment of way of working as agreed within IT applications: Enforce way of working in the team in the specific domain (supported by tools).
Your Profile: To be successful in this role you :
. Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, engineering or a related discipline with an information technology focus . Minimum of five years of progressive broad-based experience in Project . Management experience in a dynamic high-technology environment . Have good understanding of Business processes and are able to identify and relate business risks in relation to IT solutions(e.g. SAP, Oracle) . Demonstrated management experience in systems development . Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management . Demonstrated leadership of multidiscipline, high-performance globally distributed work teams/groups . Demonstrated competency in project management and the execution of multiple or large projects
