Technical Analyst - Desktop Support
Title: Technical Analyst - Desktop Support Skills: 2+ yrs diagnosing and repairing computers and peripherals, Ghost & Citrix experience, experience with best practices for deploying MS desktops in remote environments,SCCM experience a plus. Date: 8-25-2010 Description: Programming Resources, Inc. is seeking a qualified Desktop Support / Technical Analyst to fill a 3+ month contract position in Conshohocken, PA. The Desktop Support / Technical Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and resolving desktop, laptop, printer, peripheral, hardware and software problems utilizing available resources. This position will provide a single point of contact for end-users to receive support and maintenance within the organization s desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. In addition, the technician will be able to troubleshoot problem areas in person, by telephone, or via e-mail in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required. The technician will also be responsible for procurement and distribution of devices needed for new site implementation and new user setups while maintaining an accurate record of assets in the field and the corporate environment. This position could require up to 20% travel if needed. Desktop Support / Technical Analyst Qualifications: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * 2+ years of relevant work experience including troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing computer hardware, printers, software and operating systems * Experience imaging systems with Ghost * Citrix support experience * SCCM * Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills * Strong technical, analytical and documentation skills * Competency and Skill in areas of Desktop Configuration and Maintenance * Strong knowledge of applicable methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures * Ability to work effectively in a team environments well as independently, with minimal supervision * Strong organizational and problem solving abilities * Ability to prioritize and accomplish goals and meet deadlines * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Experience evaluating and facilitating the recommendation of various solution options * Ability to apply technical solutions to business problems * Experience in an organization with distributed locations Desktop Support / Technical Analyst Job Duties: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Analyze support tickets in order to develop and implement solutions * Act as a subject matter expert on desktop and software standards and solution * Resolve escalated complex issues within the established timeframes while providing quality customer service * Ensure areas of responsibility are SOX compliant * Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for implementation * Continually work to improve services while maximizing cost effectiveness to the company and customer * Follow written policies, standards, and guidelines related to areas of responsibility * Meet or exceed defined performance metrics and service level agreements * Complete assigned projects and support tickets by deadlines * Perform research into new technologies and equipment as needed to stay current in the information technology field * Complete special projects and other duties assigned by the Desktop Manager There is no relocation or sponsorship for this position.
