Responsibilities - Asset ownership for systems in Brokerage including asset health and wellness oversight, performance tuning, and asset planning. - Manage the development of technical solutions by vendors and ensures solutions meet enterprise design and performance standards. - Participate in solution design and assures quality, while minimizing negative impacts on other applications and business processes. - Develop effective working relationships with vendors to produce high quality project deliverables. - Deliver system enhancements to meet expected cost, schedule and scope. - Maintain appropriate enhancement release schedules and process in accordance with enterprise standards. - Ensure appropriate regression and user acceptance testing is completed prior to implementation of system changes. - Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience - Ability to lead, influence, communicate and interact with people at all levels across the organization and with external partners - Serves as a consultant to vendor(s) regarding technical issues/questions - Provide problem management and incident resolution support from a technical perspective and serves as a consultant for business critical issues
Required Qualifications - 5-10 years experience in the IT field, building and maintaining Enterprise Systems - Candidate will have knowledge and experience with one or more
* End user computing and deployment of vendor packages on MS Windows platforms via remote technology. * DBMS systems; Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, * Distributed applications technology; Java, Liferay, Informatica, Microsoft Technologies ( Sharepoint, SSRS, SSAS, and .NET) * Mainframe application technologies (COBOL, JCL and Pacbase) - Demonstrated skills in software design and engineering - Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate / work towards mutually agreed solutions - Demonstrated strong problem solving skills - In depth knowledge of IT process and technology as it relates to delivery of new software/infrastructure/hardware - Experience explaining complex problems or situations and facilitating to resolution. - Experience working in Financial Services or related industry. - Experience in working with large projects in a cross-functional environment. - Strong understanding of various Systems Development Life Cycles.
Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge and experience in Brokerage Clearing Operations and Brokerage Business.
