Your Responsibilities: a) Design the best solution within the requirements set (specs, budget, time frame, quality) by the customer and Philips; b) Prepare the purchase of the hardware and software components of the Medical IT solution by determining the final solution components, discussing solution (components) with Hardware and Software vendors / Solution Managers / Project Managers, creating the (final) List of Purchasable Items (LOPI) and getting final approval for ordering; c) Provide technical leadership / ownership within the Medical IT projects and be responsible for the final solution design to be provided to the customer; d) Configure, install and test the Medical IT systems according to the Medical IT quality standards and integrate the systems in the customer IT environment; e) Provide technical (project) related documentation (e.g. ITF Acceptance documents, Hand-over documents and Manuals); f) Provide technical consultancy and/or training to our customers / SSD's on the Medical IT Solution / Systems (archiving/backup strategies, system growth path, updates/upgrades, high availability etc.); g) Provide support in the maintenance phase of the system to keep the systems running according to the agreed service levels (provide technical leadership in case of system down or other critical situations, analyze / screen Field Problem Reports (FPR), discuss issues with development, define work-arounds, provide advice on addressing issues within the system); h) Test (new) solutions (components) and provide test reports as part of the Concept Management Process of Medical IT EMEA to continuously improve the Medical IT offering; i) Provide sales support in the area of solution design in order to advise the Philips sales people the best solution to be offered in the eyes of both the customer and Philips; j) Provide marketing support in the area of solution design, implementation and maintenance in order to improve our product and service portfolio, and improve or sales material and sales argument. k) Keep his/her Skills & Competences up-to-date wrt Medical IT Solutions and Systems (e.g. new technology developments, new vendor offerings); l) Provide Competence Leadership. The Technical Consultant will lead one or more (technical) Competence Areas and become the leading spokesmen of the Competence Centre for this specific Competence Area. The Consultant keeps his/herself up-to-date with the latest knowledge in that area and maintains his/her network that is relevant for the specific area.
Your Profile: . Bachelor in IT . In-depth knowledge and experience in an IT environment (System Administration, System Design, Inter-operability, Networking, Storage, Operating Systems (Windows 2000/Unix/Linux), Application Architecture and Communication technology), Database Management, Fault tolerant systems, High Availability Concept & Solutions; . Basic Project Management understanding. . (Medical IT) Business Awareness . Knowledge in RIS/PACS will be an added advantage
