Thank hnical Service Coordinator (Help Desk)The Technical Service Coordinator will support the daily activity of the Business Television (BTV) Help Desk. This position will have the primary responsibility for answering all inbound client calls and overseeing the case management process. The case management process includes, conducting the appropriate technical troubleshooting; escalating calls to the next level of technical support and dispatching cases as necessary. This position may also include some transmission scheduling ributes for this position include:*Customer-Service focused*Dependable*Punctual*Self-starter*Flexible*Team-player*Thrives on challenges*Works well under pressureResponsibilities: *Act as the expert contact for customer trouble calls*Perform problem resolution over the phone and escalate problems as appropriate to 2nd level tech support, NSC, or others.*Responsible for tracking and management of all open cases for assigned accounts not resolved during a broadcast *Responsible for closure of all completed on-site service calls for assigned accounts*Responsible for updating the client Network Manager on status of site calls-out and technical information*Maintain knowledge of all the equipment, various configurations and contract requirements utilized within BTV networks*Accountable for completing the Certification process*Special projects as assigned by manager*Participate in continuing education opportunities - including online and classroom learning*Responsible for account transmission scheduling process as primary TSC or back-up TSC. oMonitor ingoing transmission requestsoProcess requests for assigned accounts including creation of all orbit/S records; scheduling services with appropriate vendors; creating data packets; generating client invoices and approving vendor ential Abilities and Experiences:*Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels of Management*Ability to lead technical and non-technical end-users through troubleshooting procedures*Demonstrated written and verbal skills*Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (MSWord, Excel)*Must be able and willing to work unannounced days, nights and overtime as needed*Must carry a pager and be reachable during off-hours*Must be willing to provide rotating on-call support during off-hours*Must be willing and able to travel as needed*Proven track record relating to Customer Service experience*Technology support * H/W and S/W (hardware and software)*IP connectivity *PC skills*Organizational and follow-through skillsPreferred Qualifications: *4 year college degree or equivalent*Education or work experience focused on IT implementation and support; Microsoft Office Suite; TCP/IP networking administration; WAN/LAN/VPN configuration, integration and support.*Skilled in the use of Clarify and ACD phone systems*Familiarity with Interactive Distance Learning & Business TV technology*Understanding of audio/video technology and RF distribution*Basic satellite transmission knowledge including transmission path components*Experience in the satellite communications industry
