The Professional & Education business group, under the Lippincott Williams & Wilkins () brand, publishes critical information, including many of the world's leading textbooks, reference tools and related products published for medical, nursing and other health professionals and students. LWW provides essential information for healthcare professionals in print and electronic formats, including textbooks, journals, CD-ROM, and via Intranets and the Internet.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develops project plans to generate new and/or modify existing product content storage, and/or authoring/content development tools in support of the business strategy o Leads the overall project management of projects consistent with defined strategy o Establishes and maintains vendor relationships o Analyzes vendor relationship success o Participates in and maintains process improvement programs and process best practice
Other Duties . Participates in cross functional initiatives. . Manages time and company resources appropriately. . Proactively pursues professional development activities. . Performs other duties as requested by Supervisor Qualifications: Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, or related field of study; or if no degree, 7 years experience in project management.
Experience, Knowledge and Tools
Minimum Experience: 3 years of project management experience, including:
*Utilizing MS Project, or a related tool for project scheduling and tracking. *Exposure to JIRA or similar tool to track bugs/issues. *Creating project timelines and other standard project management documents. *Writing reports and correspondence. *Analytical skills to gather and integrate information from multiple sources. *Troubleshooting and identifying technical issues. *Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within time and budget constraints. *Demonstrated ability to work independently with a minimum amount of oversight.
Preferred Experience (includes minimum): 5 years of technical project management experience, including:
*Experience with medical/health care education products. *Working with content mgmt systems, such as MarkLogic. *Experience with content creation/authoring tools.
Preferred Knowledge (includes minimum): *Technologies required to support web-based solution delivery, databases, data structures and data flows.
Tools: *Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
