Technical Senior Analyst Tracking Code 101635 Job Description POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Sr. Analyst possess special skills in Blackboard technologies, such as the Blackboard Academic Suite, Java architecture, performance engineering, high availability environments, Oracle, and other market driven technologies. Sr. Analysts are directed to exercise core skills on projects. A Sr. Analyst is qualified to perform tasks such as: * Design, code and test functional components of information systems according to project specifications * Develop project documentation and technical user training materials according to program specifications * Conduct user technical training sessions * Prepare communications plans * Provide technical support to client systems teams * Design, implement and test system integration solutions * Install and configure software within the project scope * Work with clients to troubleshoot installation issues * Setup and configure authentication solutions * Participate in requirement gathering and technical planning sessions * Develop scripts to extract data from databases
Required Experience PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Required: * Bachelor's Degree or 3 years related experience * 1 to 2 years of experience in information systems implementation, change management efforts or business process redesign, including at least 6 months experience in Blackboard technologies * Proven ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously with associated deadlines * Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, build relationships with internal and external organizations * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies. * Experience with Windows 2000/2003 * Experience installing and configuring software according to user requirements and vendor specifications * Preferred: * Experience with Unix/Linux System Administration (Solaris/Redhat) * Exposure to SQL Server and Oracle database technologies Job Location Washington, DC, US.
