Impressive - dont you agree To continue our success, we are seeking a Technical Services Architect-Wireless Solutions which is a senior engineering position in Dimension Datas Service Operations organization, and who has the responsibility for the development of guidelines, rules, and models, used by lines of business for the scoping of services and associated costs (validation of delivery models and costs for client services solutions.) Heres what we will expect you to do:
Act as the senior technical presales resource for delivery scoping and technical approval for key, complex service engagements
Serve as the point of technical escalation for Service Operations technical delivery personnel
Provide proactive inspection of ongoing projects for adherence to best practices and methodologies
Participate in solution development through technical validation of new offerings and products
Coordinate (and sometimes deliver) technical training for Dimension Data delivery resources on new solutions
Serve as the key technical interface between the Architectural Team, Shared Engineering and the presales organization
Take ownership for the development and continuous improvement of technical delivery methodologies
Act as lead consultant for large and/or complex professional services projects/engagements
Heres what we are looking for in candidates for this job:
Bachelors degree or Equivalent
A minimum of 10 years of industry-related experience; a minimum of 5 years experience in a professional services pre-sales or post-sales engineering role
Ability to provide documented prior success in the role of lead engineer or presales engineer on 10+ projects (including at least 1 large-scale project)
Expert in the design and deployment of all aspect of Cisco Unified Wireless Network (CUWN) architecture including but not limited to:
-Wireless LAN Controllers: 4400 series, 5508 series and WiS
Experience in Wireless LAN site surveys and RF assessments
Experience with Wireless LAN site survey tools, preferably AirMagnet Survey Pro and Planner
Experience with Wireless LAN analysis tools, preferably AirMagnet WiFi Analyzer
Experienced with or in-depth knowledge of Ciscos outdoor wireless mesh access points, 1500 series
Experienced with or in-depth knowledge of AeroScouts full line of RTLS solutions: MobileView, tags, and exciters
Experienced with or in-depth knowledge of Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) technologies, preferably ShoreTel Mobility (formerly known as Agito Networks)
