Technical Support Representative
BlueTie is currently seeking a team player to join our Customer Service department. The Technical Support Representative's role is to ensure that client end-users receive the appropriate level of maintenance and support and to manage escalations to engineering and operations. Will identify, prioritize and resolve end user help requests, including monitoring, tracking, and coordination of Customer Service Representatives. Will research and answer support requests by phone or email. Works closely with IT Ops. This position is M-F, 10 am -7pm or 12pm - 9pm. Direct Responsibilities: Maintain expert-level knowledge of BlueTie products Receive and direct incoming support requests via telephone and email with courtesy and with a sense of urgency Investigate and provide assistance to resolve customer issues; resolve complex technical issues including configuration, set up, product functionality, bugs or enhancements Maintain communication with customers and Tech Support Reps; organize and track information to follow up and close tickets Create, maintain, and distribute technical information to customers Lead Collaborative maintenance of the support website Communicate bugs to engineering; follow up to ensure bugs are fixed Special project work including occasional project management Knowledge/Skills Required: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field Minimum 3 years as Tech Support Rep or equivalent experience Solid knowledge of internet technology, web browsers, desktop email programs Knowledge of web based applications and basic networking skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers Ability to prioritize and organize tasks Excellent troubleshooting and follow-up documentation skills Note: BlueTie will screen all resumes; only applicants whose skills most closely match the job description will be invited for an interview.
