Master Print, Inc. is a commercial printer located in Northern Virginia . We are looking for a Technical Support Technician to join the MP team. We are searching for a PC Technician to provide operations, user, and system troubleshooting support for networks. We are looking for someone who is familiar with our current systems and is prepared to learn with us as we update our older systems and hardware. Primary duties include: - Basic system administration. - Support desktop and laptop PC's, printers, and other miscellaneous equipment. - Install security updates, patches, upgrade software with new versions, and maintain and manage PC inventory. - Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and perform testing on various types of computer equipment, peripherals, data communication, and computer network systems. - Installing, connecting, and moving devices and equipment. - Maintain computer network documentation. - Configure and set up servers to work with various programs. Ensure server backups are performed on a regular basis. - Provide support to users relating to both hardware and software problems. - Systems development using UB6 and Bachelors Degree in IT or related field preferred but not required. Must have at least 2 years technical experience that includes maintenance, repair, upgrades, enhancements, and configuration of hardware and software. Must have experience with Windows 2000, 2003, 2008 servers and Windows XP Professional. Applicant should have a working knowledge of IIS. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational skills are also necessary. In addition the applicant should be able to meet the physical demands of the position including the ability to lift and handle up to 45 pounds.
