Responsible for managing the content, design and publication of an external Knowledge Base. The ideal candidate will be able to create articles based on tech support feedback into a publicized Knowledge Base System.
Collaborate with technical and escalation engineers, and product management during design phase to gain an understanding of the product.
Analyze requirements of project to determine types of publications needed. Ensure accuracy and completeness of technical documentation. Qualifications/Job Responsibilities: . Attention to detail in order to point out discrepancies/inconsistencies in documents
. Manage content and design of Knowledge Base
Prior experience with Knowledge Based Systems
. Research and write documents that fulfill stated requirements
. Organize priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
. Ability to work with project personnel, support groups, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure thoroughness and accuracy of all publications
. Review and verify written materials before submission to ensure quality and accuracy
. Plan the format, arrange the layout of publications, and edit work for conformance to publication standards and specifications
. Drive documents through the editorial review process and publication (e.g., PDFs).
. Working knowledge of authoring/publishing tools such as Microsoft(R) Word, PowerPoint(R), Excel, InQuira and Visio(R)
. Experience documenting storage area network (SAN), network attached storage (NAS) systems, with working knowledge of SAN/NAS hardware, management software, and protocols such as NFS, CIFS, SNMP, and NDMP
