Job Description
One of our largest clients is currently seeking a Technical Writer/Editor to be involved in a huge undertaking. They are looking to update their primary IT system and are in need of an innovative professional who will drive the replacement of that system and improve the overall business operations and increase profitability.
Job Responsibilities/Requirements
As a Technical Writer/Editor, you will:
. Assist in collecting and organizing information for preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports. . Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents for clarity, flow, proper English and unobtrusive grammar. . Conduct research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology. . Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel. . Use the Windows standard help compiler to prepare on-line documentation. . Assist in performing financial and administrative functions. . Turn drafts into smooth, tight writing that eliminates verbosity and results in easier reading and better understanding. . Take hand drawn illustrations (e.g. workflow diagrams), re-draw them to MS Visio, and embed them into Microsoft Word documents. . Scan documents, add Meta tags, and store in the Microsoft SharePoint project repository. . Question team members, research topics and incorporate findings into documents. . Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
