TECHNICAL WRITERS
Transportation Security Agencys Secure Flight Program requires a Technical Writer to join the System Development and Test (SDT) organization. The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, editing, publishing, and maintaining technical documentation for current and future applications in accordance with TSA SDLC standards as well as for providing document editing and proofreading expertise for new and existing documents.
Create, edit, publish, and maintain technical documentation for current and future applications in accordance with TSA SDLC standards e.g., system design documents, users manuals, reference guides, management and control plans, and operating procedures. Provide technical editing and proofreading expertise for new and existing documents in system baseline. Assemble documentation for audits and ensure documentation is compliant with Program standards and regulations. Research and evaluate new documentation tools and methods; document and improve documentation processes. Develop documentation project plans and timelines.
Required * High School Diploma/GED * At least 5 years experience in Technical Writing and Document Editing * At least 2 years experience in Sharepoint Document Management * Readiness to travel up to 75%; traveling 5 days a week, home on weekends * U.S. citizenship required * English: Fluent
Preferred * Bachelors Degree * At least 1 year experience in Project Management * At least 2 years experience in SDLC * At least 2 years experience in Process and Modeling * At least 2 years experience in Sharepoint Server (MOSS) Technology * Security clearance of MBI
