.:: Essential Job Duties: Under general direction of the Site Manager, Operate and maintain pods at the deployed locations. Assist in the operation and maintenance of the Air Combat Training System providing simulated radar threat signals to aircraft flying at the CRTC. - Transport, upload and download pods on various aircraft supporting CRTC operations. - Operate and maintain equipment associated with CRTC in support of aircrew training. - Perform testing, troubleshooting and repair activities for continued operation and maintenance of equipment. - Utilize a variety of electronic measuring devices, test equipment, functional block Diagrams to subsystem level, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance Manuals, Technical Orders to rework, repair and maintain equipment. - Maintain records and logs of all maintenance activities in RAMPOD and IMDS Accounts. Coordinate supply requests. - Perform other related duties as required in support of the CTRC Mission (e.g. Janitorial) and as directed by the site manager. - Conduct other duties as cross trained and individual qualifications.
.:: Mental/Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75-pounds. Ability to work in confined spaces. Ability to function under rapidly changing situations and provide solutions to operational deficiencies. Ability to travel and work from deployed locations in support of the CRTC. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
.:: Education/Experience Requirements: Two years of college in electronics, or equivalent technical education and military experience/experience working in a military environment. Two-years related experience. Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics. Ability to use electronic tools and test equipment. Successful candidate will also be responsible for learning computer debriefing equipment and P-5/P4RC pod sustainment. Basic computer knowledge required.
