Honeywell Aerospace has an immediate opening for a Technician III, Assembly & Test in Mississauga, Canada.
Job Description / Responsibilities: · Test, assembly and verify complex electronic/electrical devices at all levels (component, sub-assembly and end unit levels) · Troubleshoot and repair non-conforming product as per appropriate documentation and schematics, etc. · Work closely with assemblers and assist in the production and repair of work orders (as required) · Perform Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) of product (as required) · Inspect and seal units in accordance to Honeywell standards (II-5 and II-49) · Generate appropriate reports (e.g. FRACA and FINDS) in support of the thorough documentation of all activity · Liaison with Product engineer, quality assurance and engineering personnel during product investigations and failure analysis · Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by reporting material defects and elevating process improvement ideas · Balance work requirements with aggressive schedules to assure customer satisfaction · Perform audits such as 5S, Safety, FOD, ESD, SSP, and the like (as assigned) · Assist in the development and verification of test procedures (as required) · Assist in the cross training of other technicians in support of a fully flexible team
Key Success Factors · Drive Repair TAT Reduction <14 days · Improve OTD >95% · Reduce Customer Escapes to <180 Basic Qualifications: · Minimum of 2 - 5 years experience in troubleshooting electrical/mechanical assemblies to the component level. · Electronic Technician/Technologist certificate/diploma or equivalent.
Additional Qualifications: · Must be able to lift 10 to 15 pounds (lbs), with minimal repetitions. · Highly motivated and a team player · Excellent time management skills · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Excellent problem solving skills · Excellent computer skills · Experience with (or knowledge of) the Production and Repair Services information systems e.g. FINDS and TIS) · Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, etc. · Proficient in Microsoft office · Trained in Lock Out/Tag Out and Electrical Safety
