Job Title Technology Engineer - Los Angeles Req # 12075BR Division Kaplan Test Prep State Nationwide City Nationwide Full Time/Part Time Full-Time Required Working Hours Evenings Days Job Description The Live Tech Online Operations Engineer provides general technical support, system administration, Adobe Connect support and overall service and technical orchestration for our Live On Line Platform. Ideally an expert helpdesk technician or junior sysadmin: a strong background in PC/Mac/Networking support, Audio/Visual peripherals and real-time troubleshooting skills are required for this role. A strong focus and understanding of the Adobe web streaming technologies is also a key for this position. The candidate will be part of a growing technology team and will be responsible various other projects and duties assigned. Additionally strong customer service/communication skills and a flexible schedule are required. Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support for all aspects of the Live Online program
* Deep support of Windows, Mac, PC hardware, software and networking
* Support of Adobe’s suit of web streaming tools and applications
* Strong organizational skills; Experience with Help Desk ticketing methodology
* Provide resolution to a wide range of technical issues with time-sensitive results.
* Provide on-call support on a flexible schedule
* Provide proactive scheduled support and maintenance of Live Online systems
* Communicate professionally with world-class customer service
* Perform and complete other technology tasks and projects
Position Requirements and/or Skills Required:
* 3 - 5 years experience of technical support expertise as a Windows/Mac engineer. 3- 5 years of overall IT experience with strong networking skills
* Strong background with technology peripherals esp webcams, microphones and other Audio- Visual and home studio technologies
* Excellent customer service skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
* Experience with Web streaming technologies (Flash etc.) required. Adobe Connect exp. Preferred
* Experience in a high-stress helpdesk environment; Experience with 24/7 support
* Experience with remote support technologies
* Excellent organizational/ time management skills
* The ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
