Test Engineer - Gas Lab Location: Greensboro, NC Description
Purpose of Position: Serve as the interface between Design Engineers and Lab, responsible for developing the technical content and configuration of all testing in the lab while performing tests on mechanical components. Key Responsibilities: Lead test activities for key technical projects Support field investigations and field testing on key projects through testing and analysis Conduct data analysis on performed tests and validate Lab Techs' data analysis Work with Lead Technician, Supervisor and Project Engineers to define test setups and equipment that match the requirements of the Project Engineers Create Lab View software programs to run automated testing Fabricate test setups and equipment to support R&D tests Setup test equipment to perform tests Perform tests following standard work procedures, operating a variety of test equipment Conduct test result analysis for personally conducted tests and for complex tests performed by Lab Technicians New equipment interdiction and training, and development Standard work documents Document test results and product test reports Support team safety and housekeeping activity Measure of Perform. (KPI): Quality of work Required Qualifications: BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a minimum 2 - 3 years experience as a test engineer. Should possess knowledge of PLC and Lab View software programming. Must be able to read and interpret test measurement equipment i.e. tape measure, calipers, and torque wrenches Computer skills in Word, Excel and MS Project Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills Required Success Factors: Self-initiative Interpersonal skills Managing multiple priorities Communication skills Preferred Qualifications: << Back to Search Results
