Test & Evaluation Engineer 3
Develops and maintains electrical drawings using AutoCAD and by applying company, industry and governmental standards. Prepares electrical schematics in support of aircraft instrumentation modifications to incorporate data system changes made in support of flight test activities. Develops design solutions of varying complexity and is responsible for final validation and maintenance of all flight test electrical schematics produced on the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G flight test programs. Coordinates activities and products with internal/external partners. Works under general direction.

Technical• Analog/Digital Signal Proc
Complete knowledge of analog and digital signal processing. Knowledge of data system design, architecture, use, and measurement techniques utilizing transducers and sensors as a signal source.

Complete knowledge of network centric data systems design, architecture and measurement techniques utilizing acquisition elements. Applies knowledge of instrumentation data recording devices and techniques to select the appropriate device for the test application.
• Test/Evaluate Data Acqstn Sys
Complete knowledge of data acquisition system attributes (e.g., range, accuracy, frequency response, bandwidth) to define characteristics of measurements to be recorded.
• Transducer & Sensor Selection
Complete knowledge of transducer and sensor physics and the ability to make hardware selections appropriate to measure physical phenomena.
Basic Qualifications For ConsiderationThis position requires that you work out of Patuxent River, Maryland. Do you currently reside in the Patuxent River, Maryland area (where relocating would not be required) or are you willing to relocate to the Patuxent River, Maryland area?

Typical Education/Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
This requisition is for a permanent position at Patuxent River NAS in support of the F/A-18 E/F and EA-18G aircraft. This position will require relocation to Maryland if the candidate does not already reside there. This position requires a broad background and working knowledge of Aircraft and Mission Systems. Familiarity with the Flight Test environment is desired. The successful candidate for this position will have experience in electrical design and electrical schematic maintenance. Experience using AutoCAD is desired. Position requires the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance post start. US Citizenship is required (Refer to Security Clearance Definitions link above).
