Contract Term
This is an initial contract opportunity to the end of August 2012.
Overview
Our client requires multiple Test Script Writers.
They are in the midst of developing training materials in support of an upgrade and implementation of Primavera (P6 and Project Contracts Management). There is a team of consultants and business representatives working together to define required tests that need to be run.
Writers will be a part of the team assigned to draft, quality assure, edit and publish test scripts. Other types of writing and/or documentation assignments may be included as needed by the Capital Projects team. The position reports to the Capital Projects Project Manager but will take direction from other team members as directed.
Role and Responsibilities
Some of the daily responsibilities of this person will be:
Edit for grammar, terminology and other writing standards
Adjust documents as needed to comply with established templates or general standards of document quality
Identify logical inconsistencies in the flow of steps or information in the document
Interact with subject matter experts inside and outside of the Capital Projects team to resolve gaps in documentation
Track documents through the editing process for version control.
Qualifications
Required Skills
2+ years experience writing test scripts
2+ years' experience in the technical writing field or equivalent experience testing software
Prior experience working on a software implementation project
Related certificate or degree (or 5+ years of experience)
Advanced MS Word skills (use of templates, styles, etc.)
Intermediate level Visio skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent attention-to-detail
Proven ability to work independently with a high level of quality such that a final review produces very little feedback.
