Responsibilities to Include:
• Comfortably manages multiple projects simultaneously and completes routine and moderately technical work assignments.
• Creates mechanical testing fixture, PLC programming, use of Labview, Glyphworks, Falcon software, Data Logger software and various other test device software used for sound, vibration, acceleration, optic, strain, and fatigue testing as well as their input devices.
•Able to setup powertrain dynamometers profile development.
•Develop test processes and procedures as needed.
• Able to setup and install: Thermocouples, strain gauges
• Can troubleshoot instrumentation application and outputs. Understands methods and needs for calibration of instruments
• Can integrate electro-mechanical elements in test set-up. Has experience with load cells, transducers, cylinder actuators.
•Possesses and demonstrates a limited use and/or application of engineering theories and concepts.
•Follows the leadership /direction of test supervisor or test engineer; occasionally leads elements of the test.
•Forecast and report expense to budget plans
• Possesses and demonstrates skills to develop solutions to mechanical systems and general technical problems.
• Understands engines, clutches, hydraulics, linkages and applications in testing and product designs; can provide solutions and methods that are constructive and complete.
• Other work as needed by management
•Reads and understand DFMEAs for Components and Assemblies.
•Understands and Applies Problem Solving Techniques (ex. Shanin, Taguchi, etc.).
•Reads and understands DVP&Rs for Product Validation.
•Working Knowledge of and Application of Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Project, etc.).
•Understanding of Test Methods Appropriate for Compliance Test (ANSI, SAE, CE Certification, etc.).
•Understands and Applies Good Safety Habits Regarding Moving Equipment, Electrical Power, and Hazardous Materials (Fuel, Solvents, etc.).
•Understands and applies the proper use of appropriate hand tools and power tools.

Education and Experience:
•Associate in Science Degree preferred; Mechanical or Electrical (preferred); 1-3 years experience

License and Certification Requirements:
none

Travel Requirements: 15%
