In this role, you will create and maintain test cases and business scenario tests based on specifications provided by our Product Management team. You will contribute additional value by interacting with various departments throughout the company, providing technical and product knowledge assistance for customer accounts. By monitoring overall product excellence and accuracy, you will drive continuous product quality improvements and build enhanced quality in your area. Additional responsibilities include: * Participate in release management * Build and maintain the test repository for ongoing tests * Develop the test strategy for area based on application knowledge and understanding of how the customer uses the product * Decide which tests can and will be automated and which need to be tested manually; creates and maintains a suite of automated test scripts for the areas of the products assigned * Track the root cause of poor quality and trigger issue resolution; providing detailed information in an effort to reduce the time it takes Development to fix defects * Write Release Notes to notify customers of issues addressed in product updates/upgrades Required Skills * Associate's degree or equivalent work experience * Testing certification or equivalent course work preferred * Well-developed testing experience and solid troubleshooting skills * Knowledgeable in test theory and best practices in software testing * Experience with (or the ability to learn) the usage automated testing tools * Familiarity with (or the ability to learn) the entire suite of Applied Systems' products * Experience with Microsoft operating systems/SQL server platforms * Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of applications * Strong written/verbal communication, as well as strong interpersonal skills * Ability to provide concise and accurate project status * Solid time management and prioritization skills; performs well under pressure * Project and goal oriented with strong attention to detail Corporate Profile At Applied Systems, Inc., () we develop, sell, and support the automation tools and processes that insurance agents and brokers use to run their businesses at maximum efficiency and profit.
