Description: SUMMARY: The TM1 Architect is responsible for TM1 infrastructure, development, standards, and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES . Analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions . Liaise with functional and IT teams to determine best design, troubleshoot issues and ensure proper controls . Provide technical guidance and support to the business and development teams, mentor other team members. . Code, test, troubleshoot, document and maintain programs. Tune and improve system performance. . Develop processes and procedures to administer BI applications including TM1. . Build cubes/dimensions/hierarchies and develop TM1 TI processes/rules/ETL/SQL/reports . Provide System Administrator support that includes server monitoring and maintenance, OS Security and Change control, capacity planning and DR Test. . Maintain technical documentation of TM1 and other BI applications and data flow of information across systems. . Continuously review current reporting architecture and make recommendations for improvements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS . Experience using Cognos TM1 9.0 and higher including development . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field . Windows Server Administration (2003 and higher) . Firm understanding of the development life cycle including analytical skills necessary to work with functional users for requirements, testing, documentation and change management. . Strong communication, organization and performance execution skills . Strong problem solving, research and analytical skills. . Working knowledge of Relational Databases design . Working knowledge of OLAP and multidimensional database design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS . Experience with Cognos 8.0, OBIEE or other BI products . Insurance or Financial Services industry experience . Experience with Oracle Discoverer . Knowledge of Java, JSP, HTML, VB
