CSC a globally, independent company, is seeking a CBA Technician III, for the Flight Sim Base program, to provide support to the WFF contract at Ft. Bragg, NC. This is a union job site and is subject to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. This person will apply advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manual or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes. Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits. Exercises independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationship in signal flow. Uses complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Primary responsible for training device maintenance and support on the various systems of medium to high fidelity training devices. This includes visual and display systems, computer and computer network technology for the UH-60 training device. This may include full motion systems, visual and display systems, and computer network technology. The position requires the technical ability to troubleshoot failures down to discreet component level by applying advanced knowledge in electronics and logical fault diagnostic abilities. Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufactures' manuals or similar documents and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. May provide technical guidance to lower level technicians as required. Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university or related military training and five years minimum in a related discipline. Five years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems / network or training device maintenance. Mainframe computer theory and operations - 1 yr concentrated academic course/Fault detect to board level; Electronic Principles - 1 yr concentrated academic course/Fault detect to component; Hydraulic Systems Theory and Operations - 1 yr academics or experience/ Fault detect to replaceable unit; Office software operation and use - Desktop skills acquisition/Intermediate skills level; English Composition and Verbal - 1 yr college courses/Ability to express facts and rationale. HVAC certification required to perform maintenance on specified equipment. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and must be able to obtain a security clearance if required. Hydraulic systems inspection/operation/maintenance, bench repair of printed circuit boards, and components, networking, and PC repair.
