UCCE Engineer-Work from Home
Our client works within the Cisco Telephony arena. They have several openings as far as technical work is concerned. All of the positions are telecommute positions with 25% (or less) travel. Our client is open to direct, contract or contract to hire depending on whether the candidate wants to convert to a full time employee. Our client is looking to fill at least 12 roles as quickly as possible. One of their roles is for a candidate with solid deployment experience with Cisco MeetingPlace and IPT. Cisco Unified Communications Engineer • Design of Unified Communications systems based on Cisco's SRND guides • Installation and configuration of Unified Communications products such as Unified Communications Manager (UCM), Unity Connection, CallManager Express (CME), Unified Contact Enterprise (UCCE) and Unity Express (CUE), Unified Presence (CUPS), and other UC products • In depth administration, troubleshooting, and support with Routers, Switches, Gateways, CUCM, and Unity • Design, configuration, and testing of Quality of Service on LAN and WAN devices
Desired Skills and Experience: • Exceptional client relationship skills, gathering requirements, and managing expectations • Excellent oral and written communications skills (technical specifications and client communications) • Advanced knowledge of various voice protocols (H.323, SIP, ISDN, MGCP) • Advanced knowledge and understanding of IOS • Understanding of network security concepts • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple disparate projects successfully • Self-motivated and attentive to detail • Experience with Contact Center environments (UCCE and CVP)
Additional Skills, but Not Required: • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCVP, CCDP, CCIE) • Data Center Design • Scripting experience (TCL, Perl, SOAP/XML) • Experience with TDM systems • Experience with VMware environments
