What’s your role?
The Lab Administrator is responsible for defining, designing, installing, administrating, and maintaining Research & Development lab infrastructure, which is used for the purpose of development and verification. In addition, this role will be looked at providing guidance on how to optimize investment and infrastructure through the adoption of new technologies and tools.
What will you be doing?
* Deploys and maintains all lab infrastructure (Software and Hardware) * Controls access and recommends policies to facilitate effective use of resources * Manages the development and maintenance of lab automation scripts * Ensures maximum uptime of R&D and minimize any lab impact * Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware) that will improve the performance and reliability of the lab machines and network processor and makes recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks. * Reconfigures lab equipment to support R&D activities (e.g. testing, demo, etc) * Helps R&D team troubleshoot hardware, OS level related issues
What do you need to succeed?
* Minimum 5 years of experience Unix or Linux and Windows system administration experience * In depth system administration knowledge of Solaris 10, Linux, Windows, virtualization, networking, file system management and system diagnosis * Shell scripting * Load balancer setup and configuration experience * Database administration experience (Oracle and SQL Server) * HyperV, VMWare,SS7, and Sigtran are assets
