Unix Security Engineer
Title: Unix Security Engineer Skills: Bachelors Degree, Sys Admin - UNIX Date: 8-25-2010 Description: Duties •Performs and leads architecting, development and engineering of FOX Technologies Keon authentication services. •Provides Level 3 support role (globally), remote problem diagnosis, rapid solutions for mitigation of issues, follow up root cause and recommendations •Provides Keon training to 2nd level support teams globally, ensures that mission-critical high-visibility production environment works as designed. •Interacts with vendor(s) (OS and Keon) as subject matter expert for the Bank as it pertains to Keon and associated products and OS's •Solid understanding of Keon theory, being able to make directory architectural recommendations such as additions to DIT, schema extensions and indexing, Analyzes and implements ACLs •In depth Solaris/AIX/Linux/networking/firewall/security knowledge required for product/OS integration, ability to debug, trace and performance tune OS, networking and application. •Programming knowledge of OS system calls and kernel hooks, ability to code in perl/ksh/c, including the ability to package and and install perl modules without CPAN support. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Bachelors (or equivalent) in Computer Science or other related disciplines, 10+ years experience Qualifications •Very strong 15+ years progressive IT experience in a heterogeneous UNIX environment, Unix Security and Tools •Thorough knowledge in IT Control Policies and has worked in a 24x7 production environment as Senior/Lead UNIX System Administrator/Engineer supporting mission critical applications •Extensive experience on Sun Solaris 2.5 - 10, AIX 5.1 - 5.3, RedHat Enterprise Linux 3.0 - 5.0 •Has very strong 7+years experience in Engineering methodologies and architectural designs and documentation. Has strong experience in creating Software Packages with RPM and Sun packaging formats (pkgmk) •Has very strong 7+ years experience in Sun/Veritas Cluster server Administration, development of custom HA agents •Very strong knowledge in Disk striping, mirroring and RAID file Systems.
